The active ingredient of Nolvadex is Tamoxifen. It is an estrogen antagonist, also having a selective stimulating effect on estrogen receptors. In the cells of the mammary gland, it plays the role of an anti-estrogen, and in the cells of other tissues (bones, uterus), Tamoxifen acts as an estrogen.
